SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to your community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed concerning the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a website daily basis. The support place produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to help the servicing of all prospects and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
